Privacy policy
Last updated: October 28, 2026
This is a translation provided for convenience; the French version prevails.
This policy explains what data is processed by this website (fuchs-production.com) and by the game Kingdom Heroes (demo and full version), why, for how long, and how to exercise your rights. We designed the game and the website to collect as little data as possible.
1. Data controller
Stéphane Fuchs (Fuchs Production), Communiquée à l'hébergeur (article 6, III-2 de la loi n° 2004-575 du 21 juin 2004) — contact: contact@fuchs-production.com.
2. Summary

| Visiting the website | Technical log with truncated IP address | Legitimate interest (security, operation) | 14 days |
| Gameplay statistics | Random installation ID, how your runs went, technical information | Consent (off by default) | 24 months |
| Online kingdom (full game) | Random player ID, kingdom name, coat of arms, buildings, scores — visible to other players | Performance of the service you turn on | 24 months of inactivity |
| E-mails received | Your address and message | Legitimate interest (replying to you) | 3 years |
3. The website
This website sets no cookies, uses no browser storage, no analytics and no social buttons, and loads no third-party resources (fonts, scripts, videos). Links to Steam or to the trailer send nothing unless you click them.
Like any web server, ours keeps a technical log of requests: date and time, requested page, response code, size, referring page and browser type. The IP address is truncated before being written (the last number of an IPv4 address is replaced by 0; an IPv6 address is cut to its first three blocks), so it can no longer identify a device. If a technical error occurs, the server’s error log may contain a full address. These logs are only used for security and troubleshooting, and are deleted after 14 days.
4. Gameplay statistics (telemetry) — only if you agree
On first launch, the game asks whether you agree to send gameplay statistics. Nothing is sent until you agree. You can change your mind at any time in the game options (Options › Online); sending stops immediately. Statistics are only sent if the game is also set to “online”.
What is sent
- an installation ID randomly generated by the game and stored on your computer, and a run ID, also random;
- the game version (demo or full), language, date and time, number of launches and age of the installation;
- how the run went: level, day, duration, generation seed and zodiac sign of the run, why it ended (victory, defeat, quit…), characters and skins chosen, weapons, spells and summons obtained and their levels, damage dealt and taken, enemies responsible for defeats, knock-outs and revives, gold earned, choices offered and made (merchants, chests, traits, upgrades…), visitors and bosses met, approximate area of the last knock-out, time spent paused and in menus;
- technical information: resolution, graphics quality, display mode, frame-rate limit and measured frame rate.
Never sent: your name, nickname, Steam ID or account name, e-mail address, the name of your kingdom, or any information about your computer other than the above.
What about your IP address?
Our server necessarily sees your IP address when data is sent. For these requests the server keeps no log and never stores the address: it is only held in memory (never written to disk), mostly as a non-reversible fingerprint, to limit abusive sending, and forgotten at most one hour after your last request.
Why
To balance difficulty, understand where players give up, fix bugs and improve performance.
Nature of the data
These statistics do not contain your identity. But because the installation ID links your runs together, the law treats them as pseudonymous, hence personal, data: they are protected as such and you have the rights described below.
Legal basis and retention
Your consent, which you can withdraw at any time (withdrawal applies to the future; to also erase what was already sent, see your rights). Statistics are kept for at most 24 months after receipt, then deleted automatically. We may publish aggregate results (e.g. “40% of runs end on day 3”) that identify no one.
5. Online kingdom features (asynchronous invasions)
In the full game, if you turn on online features, your kingdom is sent to our server so that other players can visit and invade it, and so that you can invade theirs. These features are not available in the demo.
What is sent
- a random player ID;
- the kingdom name you chose;
- your coat of arms (shield shape, colours, pattern, banner);
- your buildings and their levels, your kingdom and specialty scores, the state of your portal.
This information is public in the game: every player using the online features can see it, and the outcome of their invasions changes your scores. Do not use your real name or any personal information in your kingdom name. An offensive or unlawful name may be changed or removed.
Legal basis and retention
Performance of the service you choose to turn on. A kingdom is deleted automatically after 24 months without updates, or earlier on simple request. You can switch the game back offline at any time: nothing more is sent (a kingdom already published stays visible until it is deleted).
Your IP address is handled as described in section 3 (technical log with truncated address, 14 days).
6. Messages you send us
If you write to us, we use your e-mail address and message only to reply and follow up on your request. They are kept for 3 years after our last exchange, then deleted. E-mails sent to our address are forwarded to our inbox by ImprovMX (redirection des e-mails, États-Unis); as this service is located in the United States, this transfer relies on the safeguards provided by the GDPR (standard contractual clauses or the Data Privacy Framework).
7. Steam
The game is sold and distributed by Steam (Valve Corporation), which processes your account and purchase data under its own responsibility, according to its privacy policy. We only have access to aggregate sales statistics, and the game does not send your Steam ID to our server.
8. Recipients, hosting and security
Data is only accessible to Fuchs Production. It is hosted on a server rented from Scaleway SAS (France), acting as processor, in a data centre located in Amsterdam (the Netherlands, European Union). Game data (statistics and kingdom) is not transferred outside the European Union, sold or used for advertising. Only the e-mails you send us pass through our forwarding service (see section 6).
Traffic with the website and the game server is encrypted (HTTPS). Server access is restricted. A backup of the database is made every day and kept for at most 14 days (8 weeks for the weekly copy): erased data therefore also disappears from backups within that time.
9. Your rights and how to exercise them
You may request access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction or portability, and object to processing based on legitimate interest. You can withdraw your consent to statistics at any time in the game options.
Since we do not know your identity, we need an identifier to find your data:
- for statistics: your installation ID, shown in Options › Online;
- for your kingdom: your player ID (Options › Online) or, failing that, the exact name of your kingdom.
Write to contact@fuchs-production.com with this identifier and your request. We reply within one month. Keep this identifier to yourself: anyone who knows it could ask for your data to be erased.
If you believe your rights are not respected, you can lodge a complaint with the French data protection authority, the CNIL (3 place de Fontenoy, TSA 80715, 75334 Paris Cedex 07, France — www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes), or with the authority of the EU country where you live.
10. Minors
If you are under 15 (or the age set by your country’s law), ask a parent before agreeing to send statistics or turning on online features. A parent can write to us to have their child’s data erased.
11. Changes
If our practices change (for example if the game starts sending new data), this page will be updated and, where the law requires it, the game will ask for your consent again. The update date is shown at the top of the page.
